Our Leaving Care service was at the centre of a focused visit from Ofsted earlier this year, find out more and read their findings here.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE IDEAL CANDIDATE</strong></p> <p><strong>Applicants need direct experience working with Children and families to be shortlisted </strong></p> <p>We are seeking Contact Supervisors to oversee and support contact sessions for children and families involved in care proceedings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and/or parents, possess some safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. You will be responsible for supervising and facilitating contact between children and their families, ensuring that sessions are safe, positive and in line with our policies and procedures. </p> <p>The role requires an understanding of child protection procedures (training will be provided), the ability to manage challenging behaviours and a commitment to promoting the wellbeing of children. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and able to maintain clear and accurate records while working collaboratively with social workers, families, and other involved professionals, to support the best outcomes for children and families in proceedings.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE JOB </strong></p> <p>We run a busy Family Contact Centre in E7 working with social workers, foster carers and the children and families who use our services. Our centre is open Mondays to Saturdays, from 10am to 6pm, and we are looking for sessional contact supervisors who can offer flexible times within these hours. We can offer up to full-time hours on a weekly basis dependent on your availability and would need you to be available for a minimum of 14 hours a week to be considered for the role.</p> <p>We are looking to hire as soon as possible and will undertake interviews before Christmas.</p> <p><strong>TO APPLY:</strong></p> <p>Please submit your CV and supporting statement.
