To achieve this at pace, there is an organisational commitment to build operational capacity across a number of service areas.</p>\n<p>As a result, we have a range of exciting career opportunities in roles that will directly contribute to the growth and development of our local area.</p>\n<p>By taking on one of these roles, you’ll be at the centre of the action – revitalising neighbourhoods, developing new public spaces, delivering on our sustainability priorities, and improving infrastructure.</p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong><strong>About the role / service</strong></p>\n<p> The Highway Development Team ensure the quality, safety and sustainability of the Highways and Transport infrastructure serving new developments.</p>\n<p>The role of Senior Engineer Section 38 is a vital part of this process, working with developers to enable approval of their detailed design proposals for new highway infrastructure, all the way through to construction approval on site and final adoption by the Council.</p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong><strong>About you</strong></p>\n<p>You will have degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or transport related discipline, along with a detailed and up to date knowledge of appropriate legislation and highway design standards and be able to apply this in all communications, working with developers to achieve high standards of development and protect the Council’s interests.</p>\n<p> Please see the detailed job description and person specification for complete information relating to the post.</p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong><strong>Working at Halton </strong></p>\n<p>All our colleagues at Halton have made a positive commitment to delivering great outcomes for our communities.
