Halton have an exciting opportunity to recruit two Resourcing Officers, working closely with the Director for Education, Director for Children's Social Care and the Principal Social Worker to ensure that services, including recruitment processes, are effectively managed.
The post holder(s) will be highly motivated, proactive individuals with an excellent understanding of electronic and IT programmes. You will work with the Directors and the PSW to support key governance arrangements for management of the workforce and other change projects as required. This includes the facilitation of meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Resourcing Officer, you will assist social work managers in co-ordinating transactional activity relating to hiring manager responsibilities for appointments in both the permanent and temporary labour markets.
With your experience in recruitment, you will support hiring managers through the key stages of the Council’s recruitment processes, providing comprehensive advice and guidance and practical support in creation of recruitment documentation such as job descriptions, adverts and interview questions.
You will coordinate the collection of operational data to support hiring decision making and business cases. In doing so, you will be organised and adept in managing what can be a large volume of data with accuracy and attention to detail.
In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring that change projects relating to improving services are supported within children’s services.
