This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become a permanent Practice Supervisor within Future4Me leading a team delivering Youth Justice Services and support for young people within Lincolnshire. Based in the south of the county alongside colleagues from Social Care and Early Help, you would be responsible for a locality team – directly overseeing the case work for statutory Youth Justice work by the Supervision of Youth Offending Officers and supervising a Senior Early Help Worker, with responsibility for a team of Early Help Workers, a Youth Offending Team Worker and an Education Mentor.
This role provides the opportunity to work within a high performing team, to ensure that the most vulnerable adolescents within Lincolnshire received the highest of services and are fully supported to achieve their aspirations and become the best versions of themselves.
About the Team:
Future4Me launched Countywide in February 2019 and brought together the Council's core offer to adolescents by building on the Youth Offending Team, Youth Hub and Early Help. Focusing on supporting young people aged 14-18, we have a dedicated hub comprising of staff with a focus on youth housing, diversion for youth justice, child exploitation, and community interventions. Working within a Trauma recovery approach and addressing the challenging and complex behaviours through multi-disciplinary cooperation. Future4Me aims to provide safe spaces for our children and protect them from extra familiar harm.
In January 2023 Future4Me was graded as ‘Outstanding’ by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons and Probations. Future4Me is a forward thinking team embedded within Lincolnshire Council's Children's Services which were deemed to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in April 2023.
About the role:
The Practice Supervisor assists the Team Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of the service. They provide supervision to a team of Senior Early Help Support Workers who line manage case work within the team. They are responsible for the standards of Children's Services practice and the delivery of the directorate's statutory duties and responsibilities within the vision of the service directly supervising casework by Youth Justice Officers.

Applicants will need to evidence that they have key competencies which include an enhanced understanding of risk assessment and management and a clear focus on safeguarding Young People and children. Extensive post qualification experience in a relevant Children’s Services or Criminal Justice environment with a detailed knowledge of the legislative framework that governs Youth Justice is essential.
