Our team plays a crucial role in influencing practice and providing assurance to directors about the quality of care. We respond to learning across the organisation, coordinate social care audits, and report findings at all levels. Additionally, we oversee the Practice Governance Board, Research Governance Panel, and various practitioner forums.
Our team comprises experienced social care practitioners, a business analyst, and a policy officer, all dedicated to supporting the delivery of practice guidance to practitioners and services. Together, we ensure that those we assess receive the highest quality social care interventions and support.
About the role
Reporting to the Practice Quality Team Manager, you will ensure the monthly audit cycle runs smoothly and on time. Your tasks will include selecting and assigning audits based on performance data. Throughout the month, you will answer questions and follow up on audit numbers. At the end of the cycle, you will grade the audits and help create reports with charts. You will inform the Team Manager and Head of Practice and Assurance about the return rate and any audits needing improvement for follow-up.
Other duties will include:
• Working with team members to manage other quality assurance activities.
• Handling administrative tasks, such as monitoring email inboxes and responding to queries about audits and events.
• Using spreadsheets and other IT tools to manage projects and data samples for audits.
• Help update the quality monitoring tracker and follow up on actions to ensure progress.
• Plan and coordinate team events and provide administrative support for the Practice Governance Board and Research Governance Panel, including taking minutes.
• Send letters to service recipients for feedback calls to understand their experiences
• Maintain our intranet pages, ensuring newsletters and audit reports are accessible.
About you
Essential:
• A passion for practice and quality in adult social care
• Administration experience in a social care or other public sector team.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience of coordinating meetings and minute taking
• Demonstratable skills in ICT applications including word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
Desirable:
• Experience of working with data and ability to present information using pie charts and graphs
• Experience of planning and coordinating online or in person events, with providing technical support
• Experience of managing projects
