This involves providing careers, information, advice, and guidance to support them in making positive decisions about their futures; maintenance of education, health, and care plans for those aged 16+ in further education and support to find paid employment or other positive activities. <br><br> We are looking to recruit a Supported Employment Adviser to work within our small Supported Employment Team, on the DWP funded 'Local Supported Employment' programme, to provide employment and job brokering support for young people with Autism and/or learning disabilities, working closely with parents and carers. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> You will work with a caseload of young people to offer employability and job-brokering support, using the 'place, train and fade' method of Supported Employment. <br><br> You will co-produce individual vocational profiles, which you will use to market young people to prospective employers. <br><br> You will market and canvass local employers for opportunities for young people with additional needs, including work experience, supported internship placements, working interviews, and ultimately paid employment. <br><br> You will provide an effective recruitment service that meets employer expectations. <br><br> You will offer employers disability awareness training. <br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong>:<ul>\n<li>Experience of working with young people with additional needs/SEND.</li>\n<li>An understanding of the barriers to learning, training and employment that young people may have.</li>\n<li>Demonstrable negotiation skills.</li>\n<li>Experience of working with employers.</li>\n<li>The ability to travel - a full, clean driving licence and access to a car is essential.</li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong>:<ul>\n<li>Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI) and the Level 3 Certificate for Supported Employment Practitioners.</li>\n<li>Experience of sales/marketing.</li>\n<li>Experience of providing training</li>\n</ul><br><br>This job role is within the Community Services, level COM9 job profile. About the team
