Full time 6 week rolling rota. 11 hour night shifts 4 days on 4 days off This will be flexi time 37 hours per week Mon – Fri with an on call system, one night per week and one weekend per month.
Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) are recruiting a full time Deputy Manager to work at Glenwood Lodge Hostel.
Glenwood Lodge Hostel, including Off Street Offer (OSO) is a 48 bed Hostel for Single homeless men in central Brighton. We provide high support accommodation to 18 men with high, complex needs and an Off Street Offer accommodation to 30 rough sleepers.
Off Street Offer is grant funded under the Rough Sleepers Initiative Grant to provide accommodation, reconnection and relocation for local and non-locally connected rough sleepers in the city. The service aims to assess, provide a single service offer of accommodation and move on to appropriate housing within a 90- day target.
The service will be going through a period of change and development, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and help shape and lead that change in the service.
You will work in partnership with BHCC’s Rough Sleepers Commissioning Team and Housing , Care and Support, as well as street outreach services, Arch Healthcare, substance misuse services as well as wider group of providers across the City.

The key functions of the Deputy Manager role are:-
· To provide support and supervision to the dedicated staff team, chairing multi -disciplinary meetings and reviewing support and placement of residents at the service.
· Ensuring the service is outcome focused and person centred.
· Dealing with the day to day management of the service, i.e. housing management and voids, Health and Safety, maintenance, resident’s issues, complaints, and feedback.
· Have great communication and conflict resolution skills. encouraging feedback and reflection.
