About the Role
There’s never been a better time to join the iconic Mersey Ferries. We need a Vessels Engineer to become a part of our team at an exciting time.
We welcome tourists from all over the world and we’re looking for the right person who shares our values and can bring their experience and skills to make a difference.
The role is key in ensuring availability of Mersey Ferries services through effective daily maintenance and planned maintenance during in and out of water surveys.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining all aspects of the engineering function including the engine room, ancillary machinery control room and equipment. You will complete and maintain records in line with Marine Coastguard Authority (MCA) requirements and working with external contractors and stakeholders.
This is a 12 month fixed term role.
About the person
You will play an active role in the delivery of a number of projects and continually working with colleagues to improve service.
You will work closely with the Marine Engineering Superintendent as well as a wider team all committed to the world-famous Mersey Ferries.
