We are recruiting an Activities Coordinator at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 28th February 2026
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Older Persons Housing Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly Homes Older Persons Housing Team is a dynamic team delivering activities and promoting social interaction for residents in 32 sheltered housing schemes across the borough.
The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, good communication skills, and demonstrate empathy while working independently and as part of a team. You will support the Sheltered Housing Team in promoting and enabling Residents to participate in meaningful activities, aiming to reduce loneliness and isolation. Additionally, you will assist the Older Persons Housing Team with administration and other relevant tasks.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Health and Social Care or Support.
- An appreciation and understanding of sheltered housing services, the role of other agencies. For example, Social Services and Health.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit sheltered housing scheme, attend meetings, and visit residents in their home.
