In turn this creates better outcomes and futures for people. </p>\n<p>We carry out strengths-based Adult Needs Assessments and Reviews in line with the Care Act 2014, focusing on what the person can do rather than their limitations.  </p>\n<p><strong><span>Supporting our staff</span></strong></p>\n<p>You will find a warm welcome in our local adult care teams. We like to support our teammates and provide a supportive and nurturing environment where staff are encouraged to succeed in all that they do. </p>\n<p>We are looking for new team members to be a part of something quite special and can’t wait to meet you.</p>\n<p><strong><span>About You</span></strong></p>\n<p>The role of a Social Work can be demanding, and it is important that we recruit the right people; therefore, you must be motivated, confident, enthusiastic and resilient.</p>\n<p>You will need to be competent in assessing mental capacity, recognising, and acting on safeguarding concerns and working with colleagues across the health and social care sector.  </p>\n<p>The following skills and qualities are also essential: <strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Work qualified and registered (or very soon to be).</li>\n<li>Dynamism, flexibility, autonomy and good time management.</li>\n<li>Positivity; a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Good IT skills; as assessments are recorded electronically.</li>\n<li>Good listener, with active listening skills.</li>\n<li>Creative-thinking and good problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Good understanding of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated Social Care Legislation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an exhaustive list; we highly recommend that you study the attached Job Descriptions and Person Specification within.</p>\n<p><strong><span>About Our Offer</span></strong></p>\n<p>We value our staff and want to support you to grow in skills and knowledge.
