The Neighbourhood Management service is at the heart of delivering services to residents in Dacorum, whether this be parks and open spaces to trees and woodlands to street cleansing and grounds maintenance to cemeteries and bereavement services to parking services.
An opportunity has arisen for a project manager within the service to deliver the Council’s Parking Solutions Policy. The postholder will be responsible for assessing potential schemes in accordance with the policy to making delivery recommendations to commissioning and managing their delivery. This is a front-facing role, and you will have direct contact and need to work closely with residents and councillors as well as internal colleagues and external partners.
The successful candidate will have experience of project management and report writing as well as experience of working with local communities/stakeholders. As part of the process, you may be required to submit applications for planning consent and/or working on the highway. You will have an eye for details and be able to manage multiple schemes at any one time.
Strong communication skills will be required to communicate outcomes to residents and councillors as well as providing updates on progress to senior management and Council committees as well as writing robust specifications/outcomes when commissioning works.
