Vac Description :
Facilitator for DIY Home Improvement, Woodworking & One-Off Workshops. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Facilitator to deliver engaging and hands-on learning experiences for a range of DIY and woodworking courses. The ideal candidate will have a passion for facilitating, practical knowledge of DIY skills and woodworking techniques, and the ability to guide learners of all abilities in a supportive, interactive environment. This position involves delivering both ongoing 8-week courses and a one- off Saturday workshop.
Deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences in the DIY Home Improvement, Get into Woodwork, and Woodwork Workshop courses.
Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and individual support to help students gain confidence with tools and techniques.
Ensure the safe use of all tools and equipment during the courses.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
For the One-Off Saturday Woodwork Workshop, lead the group in completing the wooden tablet/book stand project within the session.
Strong knowledge and experience in DIY home improvement and woodworking, including safe tool use.
Qualifications:
Ability to teach beginners and provide clear, simple explanations of techniques and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for teaching practical skills and helping others learn.
Previous teaching or facilitation experience is desirable but not essential.
