This includes strategic financial planning and budget setting, financial management reporting and monitoring, and accounting and technical financial support to the following services:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>City Services directorate</li>\n<li>Corporate Services directorate</li>\n<li>South Downs National Park Authority (contracted service)</li>\n</ul>\n</div>\n<h2>About the role</h2>\n<p>You will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be highly organised, have effective written and oral communication skills, including good presentation and report-writing skills,</li>\n<li>have an ability to operate at a strategic financial planning level,</li>\n<li>build professional relationships with senior customer and client representatives, and, lead and develop a high performing team to provide excellent customer service.</li>\n<li>have  knowledge and experience of financial management, planning and appraisal.</li>\n<li>You will be primarily supporting directorates that cover major corporate functions such as HR, Legal and Property, as well as City Services, a large directorate covering sustainability and transport, refuse, recycling and waste disposal, cultural services, sports & leisure services, planning and estate management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This covers annual revenue budgets of over £160 million and capital investment and regeneration budgets of over £100 million.</p>\n<p>The City Services directorate is also the lead directorate for carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives, aiming to work with city partners to promote change across the city.</p>\n<p>The role includes providing the Deputy Chief Finance Officer role under contract to the South Downs National Park Authority.
