About us:
Archers Brook School provides a holistic, pupil centred, curriculum for learners in years 5 to 11 with social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
Learners access a differentiated curriculum that creates an aspirational high achievement culture, raises standards of attainment, takes into account individual needs and styles, allows everyone to experience success and prepares our Children and Young People well for the next stage of their life. Almost all pupils have a primary need of SEMH stated on their EHCP, yet many have a further diagnosis of ASC, ADHD, FASD or ODD.
Pupils at Archers Brook may experience delays in learning due to their SEMH rather than a SpLD and therefore benefit from a blended curriculum that allows young people to either access GCSE’s (English, Maths, Science and Art) alongside vocational qualification, or Entry level. Learners are working within at least 2 years ARE on entry.
Archers Brook School is pupil centred with a focus on the whole learning experience and developing skills that enable our young learners to successfully transition into Post 16 education with resilience, self-regulation and a determination to succeed.
Archers Brook SEMH Residential School is in an exciting phase. We are eager to appoint exceptional individuals who wish to make a significant contribution to the learning and lives of our students. We have a proven track record of working with and developing early career teachers and those ready for promotion.
