If so, we have the perfect opportunity.</p>\n<p>Since its formation in 2017 as the shared Local Authority Building Control Service for Mole Valley, Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge councils, we have developed an excellent reputation for our service.  When you join <a href=\"{{SIGN-IN-REQUIRED}}\">Southern Building Control Partnership</a> you are part of a supportive team working in an area of Surrey which combines areas of outstanding natural beauty with diverse, changing towns.</p>\n<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for a Registered Building Inspector to join our team as we meet the opportunities arising from the recent introduction of the Building Safety Act and the updated Building Regulations.</p>\n<div class=\"field field--name-field-contract field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--item\"><strong>Full time</strong></div>\n<div class=\"field field--name-field-salary-lg field--type-string-long field--label-inline\">\n<div class=\"field--label\">Salary</div>\n<div class=\"field--item\">Class 2 (A-B) £33,079 to £38,132 (dependant on experience) a Market Supplement of £4,500 plus a Golden Hello Payment of up to £3,000.</div>\n<div class=\"field--item\">\n<br>Class 2 (A-F) £38,796 to £50,854 (dependant on experience) a Market Supplement of £4,500 plus a Golden Hello Payment of up to £5,000.</div>\n</div>\n<p>You will be joining a team with a wide range of experience who thrive in supporting each other to ensure every member reaches their personal goals.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determination and inspection of building regulations applications in line with your registered competency.</li>\n<li>Inspection of Dangerous Structures.</li>\n<li>Responsibility for key Partner Accounts registered under the LABC Partner Scheme.</li>\n<li>Attendance at the regular CPD events held at offices throughout the partnership area. </li>\n<li>Ensuring knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation is maintained.</li>\n<li>Provide duty officer cover during office hours as part of a rota.</li>\n<li>To investigate unauthorised building works and take appropriate action.</li>\n<li>Support the development of our trainees.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Who we’re looking for</strong></p>\n<p>An experienced Building Control professional:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Educated to Degree Level </li>\n<li>Member of relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB</li>\n<li>General competency assessment such as BSCF, CABE or BCCA</li>\n<li>Class 2 Registration with Building Safety Regulator</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What we Offer</strong></p>\n<p>All partnership staff are employed by Tandridge District Council.
