Our department are looking for someone who is able to complete a comprehensive range of carpentry and multi-trade work including kitchen/bathroom installations, undertaking related site surveys and providing lists of materials to complete repairs and refurbishment projects within contract conditions, timescales and costs.
You will be expected to carry out a comprehensive range of carpentry repairs, UPVC repairs, and multi-trade refurbishment project work, across various sectors including domestic property, high rise schools, shops, industrial units etc. Self-diagnose appropriate repair or maintenance activity, to effect appropriate repair comply with risk assessments and method statements and plan workloads to ensure that contract completion conditions, dates and costs are met. Undertake project work including multi skilled activities related to kitchen/bathroom installations, including floor laying and tiling, and on occasion minor demolition work.

We are looking for someone who is able to plan and prioritise workloads to meet specified outputs and deadlines as well as able to assess and address problems arising on-site e.g. diagnosis of faults and problems, type of materials required, equipment required to carry out the work and safe working assessments.
You'll have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by using own initiative within established procedures and good working practice.
We do ask that you have an advanced carpentry apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or Basic carpentry apprenticeship and NVQ Level 2/ City/Guilds qualification or equivalent qualification and equivalent experience.
Applicants for this role will need to be able to carry and climb ladders to undertake inspections and gain access to loft spaces and roofs as well as able to travel to and between sites with related equipment.
This is a public facing role so you'll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
