As a Maths/English Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and inspiring students. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging lessons, foster a love for learning, and support students in their academic journey. You will collaborate with colleagues to create effective lesson plans and provide a nurturing environment for students to thrive.

Job Role
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us from January 2025 or sooner. The successful candidate will be able to deliver lessons up to GCSE double award and work with our pupils who have a wide range of ability levels.
This role would be suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers. Regardless of experience, the successful candidate will have the ability to embrace the inclusive therapeutic culture and ethos of the school. A strong commitment to raising achievement and standards is required along with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive Maths/English lesson plans that align with the curriculum
Utilise tutoring and mentoring techniques to support students in understanding scientific concepts
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, incorporating techniques such as behaviour management and speech therapy when necessary
Cater to the needs of students requiring special education or individualised attention
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment
Provide care and guidance to students, including toddler care where applicable
Utilise applied behaviour analysis strategies to enhance learning outcomes
Foster a friendly atmosphere conducive to early scientific exploration
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Teaching certification (QTS) Essential
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
Familiarity with special education needs practices and principles
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying ages
Passion for education and inspiring young minds

About Wirral WRAP School
The School is an independent 38 week specialist day provision for boys and girls for students aged between 11 and 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Beechwood, Wirral. We are an aspirational, exciting and innovative school, with a strong desire to develop both students and staff.
We are a friendly school where staff are supportive of each other inside and outside of the classroom. We pride ourselves in ensuring all members of staff including our support staff have access to regular training. All our members of staff attend regular training on child protection; mental health and multi-agency working. All staff access a wide range of training on areas of SEN such as Autism, attachment and ADHD.
