Every aspect of our operation supports our mission: To inspire and support people from diverse backgrounds in Hertfordshire to overcome challenges and realise their ambitions. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> <strong>Team Leadership</strong>: Manage staff effectively and promote modern teaching technologies. <br><br> <strong>Innovate Curriculum</strong>: Identify new curriculum ideas to meet residents' needs and develop courses across various subjects, considering socio-economic changes. <br><br> <strong>Digital Learning</strong>: Work with Adult Curriculum Manager and other Curriculum Leads to implement digital solutions for Step2Skills, addressing the digital divide in Hertfordshire. <br><br> <strong>Review and Improve</strong>: Use your knowledge of qualification structure, delivery and funding to introduce new qualifications and revamp existing curriculum models to further enhance learner experience. <br><br> <strong>Collaborate and Align</strong>: Work closely with the Adult Curriculum Manager, ensuring flexible, modern approaches aligned with socio-economic context. <br><br> <strong>Progression Pathways</strong>: Foster partnerships to improve progression opportunities for Step2Skills learners. <br><br> <strong>Quality Assurance</strong>: Ensure high-quality teaching, assessment, and learner support. Assist in quality assurance processes. Ensure compliance of government funding rules. Conduct session visits in line with Step2Skills Quality policy <br><br> <strong>Image and Professional Development:</strong> Promote a positive image of Step2Skills internally, in the local community and nationally. <br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Experience in Further Education or Adult Community Learning with proven record of delivering high-quality learning experiences to adult learners in line with Ofsted expectations. </li>\n<li> Demonstrated ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions for learners and employers in adult education. </li>\n<li> Professional attitude and effective communication at all organisational levels. </li>\n<li> Proficient in IT and interested in technology related to adult education. </li>\n<li> Hold a full teaching qualification and a minimum A-Levels (grade C or above); GCSE passes (C or 4 or above) in English and maths. </li>\n<li> Full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance. </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Additional relevant higher qualifications (e.g., adult education, careers advice and guidance, social work). </li>\n<li> Experience of implementing new technological solutions. </li>\n</ul>We are fortunate to be part of a fantastic team delivering a wide range of adult education and employment opportunities to Hertfordshire's residents.
