The role involves providing first point of contact for customers, customer services advisors and other agencies with issues around the Housing Register and available housing association properties. The role also provides support to the Housing Advisor team.
Carring out intital assessments to understand an indivudals circumstances, to identify if a person is homeless, rough sleeping or threatened with homelessness will form part of the role. The post holder will be accountable for collating evidence not provided by home seekers, to support their application, such as proof of identity, income, etc, in order to assess level of housing need and type of properties eligible to bid for. The post holder will also be responsible for deciding which applications are approved or rejected.
In order to be successful within this role we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and has an interest in housing services and helping to support those in the community to understand their housing needs and options.
The successful candidate will be able to operate in a fast paced environment handling telephone calls, e-mails and online contacts – providing initial advice and guidance where appropriate and onward referring where necessary. The role includes the use of a web based database and housing system – inputting data, checking data and producing statistics.
