We are looking to recruit a part-time Customer Service Assistant, with a strong customer service background to deliver a positive customer experience for those who engage with the Council.
You will support the Council’s reception and Contact Centre. You will have an interest in developing an all-round knowledge of the Council and its services, whilst aiming to resolve all enquiries at the first point of contact. You will actively promote Broxbourne Council’s digital first message and assist customers to self-serve wherever possible.
The successful candidate will typically work office hours Monday-Friday with a flexible working approach combining office and home working. The vacancy is for the following hours; Monday 4hrs (a.m.), Tuesday 8hrs, Thursday 8hrs. Shifts can vary from 8:30am to 17:30 pm.
When in the office, you will be based at Bishops’ College in Cheshunt. The successful candidates will be expected to work from Bishops’ College during the first six months.
Candidates must have GCSE qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent, have excellent communication skills, be computer literate, and feel confident using multiple data sources to fact find and offer resolution. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, in multiple settings and provide advice in fluent English is essential in the role.
