We are recruiting a Supported Employment Adviser to work within our Community Learning Disability Service, Living Well which is part of Adult Social Care alongside our Havering Works Project team. This is a contract role with funding for up to one year.
The Supported Employment Adviser will work alongside the Havering Works team to create employment opportunities for adults with Learning disabilities.
The project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund until March 2025 and aims to deliver a range of specialist support to help individuals find, secure and maintain paid employment.
The role has two key functions - growing the number of supported employment opportunities through developing links with employers, job carving and matching individuals with learning disabilities to those opportunities, The successful candidate will support individuals to become job ready providing 1-1 employment coaching and mentoring, specialist support with job search and access to training, interview skills, completing applications and CV writing. The individual will provide support individuals to remove those barriers which prevent them from accessing employment including providing in-work support once they have secured employment.

Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject is desirable
Must be IAG and PTTLS qualified trained or working towards the qualifications
