The ideal candidate will use their surveying and carpentry skills to perform maintenance, renewals, and refurbishments in compliance with fire regulations and best practices, while ensuring tenant and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>In this role, you will identify and mitigate fire hazards, assess and repair fire doors and structural components, and stay updated on building codes and safety standards. You will also document your work accurately, diagnose building faults, and develop cost-effective solutions. You should be competent in multi-skilled fire safety repairs, including inspecting and replacing fire doors and installing door closures and intumescent strips. Experience in maintenance within occupied properties is essential.</p> <p>You must be physically fit for manual tasks and demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety principles and building maintenance sequencing. Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer care, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are crucial. Familiarity with using technology, such as PDAs, for work management is also required.
