The Senior Project Manager will drive the successful implementation of our homebuilding projects, holding a team of highly professional, skilled and technical project managers to account for and report performance to the Strategic Lead.
The successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and that budgets are proactively managed.
The successful candidate will also collaborate with all stakeholders and contribute to developing Southwark's housing landscape and the overall strategic vision.
About you:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced team player to work with senior management to lead people and projects within enabling and delivery in Southwark Construction.
You will have previous experience of managing strategic projects and programmes within housing, regeneration, planning or development within a public sector, or similar environment, with a thorough understanding of current, relevant legislation, issues and policy developments at local and national level.
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in Programme or Project Management and have a successful track record of leading a multi-disciplinary team of technical and professional experts, delivering to deadlines and within resource constraints.

The role will be to work with all other departments to effectively manage the council wide new homes and rebuilding programme to ensure that they have sight of, and achieve all milestone deadlines, within budget. Reporting and presenting on all programme information to internal and external key stakeholders including Members, Cabinet, senior officers and external agencies such as the GLA will also be a key part of the role.
