Halton Borough Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Community Support Worker
You will be based in the Child in Need/Protection team working alongside and supporting Social Workers with vulnerable children and families. Community Support Workers undertake various interventions, including parenting, healthy relationships, self-protection work, wishes, and feelings, to ensure that the lived experience of the child is heard and understood.
You will contribute to Social Work assessments, attend meetings and keep children’s records up to date.
Do you have excellent people and communication skills, and enjoy working with children and families? We are seeking a motivated and compassionate person to join our team; someone who has the passion to make a difference to the lives of children within Halton.
You must be able to work as part of a team, and be flexible, adaptable and responsive, as this is a service where the needs of service users come first, and no two days are ever the same.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and commitment, in order to provide the best possible support and advice to all parents.
You will support parents during supervised family time with their children providing advice and guidance when necessary
