We have around 1,000 dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic staff who always put the needs of our students first and we are now looking for a Curriculum Manager Life Long Learning (ESOL) to join our cohort of dedicated staff.

About the Roles

The department of Lifelong Learning (ESOL) is seeking a Curriculum Manager for our highly successful ESOL Programmes. The successful candidate will have extensive ESOL experience and will be based predominantly at our Willesden campus though travel to other sites may be required. The Willesden Campus offers ESOL programmes to both 16-18 and adult learners. The postholder will be responsible for 19+ ESOL provision, covering a range of courses including ESOL exam courses, non-regulated courses, employability, digital skills, adult numeracy and community outreach programmes.

The Curriculum Manager for Lifelong Learning (ESOL) will contribute to the operational management, development and performance of all aspects of the College delivery of teaching, learning and assessment across all aspects of provision. The Curriculum Manager will deliver the implementation of the College Groups quality improvement strategies for elements of the current OFSTED framework and will also work to maintain a culture of continuous improvement through self-assessments and other quality initiatives through the College Group. The successful applicant will develop Teaching, Learning and Assessment improvement strategies in pursuit of an outstanding student experience and will lead and be responsible for the performance management of direct reports in order to achieve consistently high outcomes.

The Curriculum Manager for Lifelong Learning (ESOL) will;

• Hold a teaching qualification or equivalent

• Have a track record of operational leadership and management in a Further Education setting

• Have experience of supporting the development of staff, in both the vocational area and learning and teaching

• Have experience of recruitment, induction and guidance of students

• Have experience of contributing to effective curriculum planning, design and development

• Have experience in leading and/or coordinating enhancements in quality in the delivery of curriculum

• Have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders

• Have a commitment to meeting the needs of the learners, employers and communities that the Group serves

• Have a strong commitment to the College’s values and mission and equality and diversity for both staff and students
