Pear Tree Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated Grade 4 teaching assistant to work full time (32.5 hours term time only), from September 2024.
We are looking to appoint a person who will join our dedicated, hardworking and enthusiastic team. They will possess the capacity to develop positive relationships with children and have excellent behavioural management skills. The role will involve one-to one support and small group work as well as support outside during break times.
They will be an effective communicator with children, parents and staff, develop effective relationships to assist the progress and attainment of children and have high expectations of all children. An understanding of safeguarding and adherence to school policy will be expected.
This is initially a temporary post for one term but may well be extended after this point. Applicants will need to hold a minimum of a level 3 qualification as a teaching assistant.
Pear Tree places the highest importance on the safeguarding of our pupils and staff. As such, any cautions, convictions, reprimands or final warnings that are ‘not protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) order 1975 (as amended in 2013) relating to the non-disclosure of spent convictions do not apply to this job. You must therefore, disclose whether you have any previous convictions where prompted to do so within the application process. In addition you will be required to have a DBS check and be able to provide at least 2 references to support your experience of working with children.
