The Panel considers and makes recommendations about the level of allowances that should be paid. Arrangements are in place for the three Councils to share a Panel.</p>\n<p>Once appointed, the Panel will consist of three members of the public appointed for eight years. At present, one position on the Panel is vacant.</p>\n<p>An allowance is paid to Panel members of £15.74 per hour.
