Are you an experienced manager or team leader with a strong background in administration and financial systems? 
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to lead our Administration Support Team on a fixed-term basis to cover an internal secondment for up to six months.
About the Role
This is a key role responsible for managing a small back-office support team and delivering high-quality administrative and financial support across the Street Scene, Leisure, &amp; Technical Services and Planning, Housing &amp; Environmental Health directorates. You will work closely with service leads and other departments to ensure smooth operations, accurate financial reporting, and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage a team of Administration Assistants and a Senior Administration Assistant.</li>
<li>Oversee team performance, leave management, and sickness reporting.</li>
<li>Ensure timely responses to internal and external enquiries and complaints.</li>
<li>Maintain and monitor financial systems, including invoice processing, budget monitoring, and income tracking.</li>
<li>Provide technical support for systems such as Idox Uniform, Whitespace, Jadu, and Power BI.</li>
<li>Support service heads with salary verification, budget planning, and reporting.</li>
<li>Coordinate updates to privacy notices and support information governance processes.</li>
</ul>
About You
<ul>
<li>Educated to A-level or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Proven experience in budget monitoring, data presentation, and working with staff at all levels.</li>
<li>Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial/data systems.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly.</li>

We’re seeking a proactive and dedicated Senior Administrative Support Officer to join our Waste and Street Scene Services team, helping to keep our streets and environment clean, tidy and our services running efficiently.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the council meets its statutory duties while also assisting customers and partners with various aspects of waste management. You’ll receive full training to support key services, including our subscription-based garden waste scheme, handling reports of graffiti, fly-tipping, and collection issues, liaising with our contractors and ensuring the smooth operation of our waste services.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
✔ Strong IT skills, with experience of using databases, online platforms, and Microsoft Word &amp; Excel
✔ Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
