The post requires a basic knowledge of employment law to enable the provision of initial basic advice to UNISON members. A key part of the role will be to ensure the Branch administrative and support processes are efficient and compliant. Another key element of this role is to allocate, oversee and organise the stewards and take on the more complex cases. This will include the ability to draft correspondence, newsletters and other documentation, including minute taking. You will need to have experience in general office administration, including postal, filing systems, stock ordering, phone and mailbox. A working knowledge of GDPR in relation to storage and retention of highly sensitive information and the ability to refer to and follow relevant rules, policies and procedures. You will also have experience and knowledge of finance and administrative systems/databases.
