About the roleAbout the Role Learning and Development Business Improvement Team are looking to recruit a Business Support Assistant. Schedule regular individual course owner meetings, to co-ordinate all course administration for the L&amp;D Open Programme. Produce a range of documents and monitoring reports for advisors, including course/delegate monitoring reports, registers and evaluations, to support efficient service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues. Provide on-site customer support at conferences and training events. Manage diaries, schedules, and stock control for training supplies. Support financial processes including raising invoices, journals and purchase orders. Undertake other duties as required within the scope of the role. About youAbout you. You will be proficient in MS Office and internet/email usage. Have strong literacy and numeracy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Be able to prepare and analyse data for management reports. Have experience working as part of a team providing administrative support. Be able to work to deadlines. On occasion, travel freely to external venues to support with conferences and training events out of normal regular hours for continuity of service. The Council is recruiting for a Business Support Team Leader on a 14 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
The can also be offered as a secondment opportunity for internal applicates.&nbsp;
The Role
You will play a lead role in the successful management and co-ordination of operational support and administrative activities for the Repairs and Investment Service. This will include administrative support for the Principal Repairs Officer and other Repairs and Maintenance areas within the council. Additionally, you will ensure that the Repairs and Investment Service fully complies with the Councils’ Core Customer Care Standards.
You will have experience of managing and supervising a small team as the role will require managing 3 Business Support Officers and 2 Work Planners in their day to duties. You will ensure the team perform to the expected agreed standards and will develop and nurture their skills in line with performance targets.
Additionally, you will assist Repairs Management in collating and monitoring KPI statistics and assist in processing and dealing with complaints, customer correspondence and customer satisfaction data.
The role requires the candidate to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the social housing sector within a repairs and maintenance framework or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience as set out in the person specification.
