An opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrative Business Support Officer in the Children in Care Team. This is a fixed term post for a period of 12 months. The successful applicant will provide support to social workers in the Children in Care Team which are based in the Medway Council office at Broadside Chatham. Duties will involve minuting meetings, finance, Health &amp; Safety, panels, requesting passports, birth certificates and any adhoc duties. <ul><li>It is essential that applicants have experience in minuting meetings and have financial experience as this role involves processing payments for the Children in Care Team. </li><li>The role will also include inputting data into the Council’s information systems.</li><li>You will administer processes and procedures using available equipment and ICT packages to meet organisational standards and requirements.</li><li>You will be required to answer telephone calls which will be of a sensitive nature and offer some flexibility in terms of supporting some of the duties of other business support staff during periods of absence or high volumes of work.</li></ul> The Children in Care Team are seeking a Business Support Officer to join the team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate the relevant knowledge, experience and skills to get you started, but you will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. All elements of level A listed within the person specification are essential.
