Planning Validation Administration Assistant
Part-time: 15 hours per week (Only over 2 days per week)
Hybrid working – minimum one day per week in the office.
Salary: £26,717 - £27,983 (will be pro-rata to 15 hours a week)

We are seeking a proactive and organised Planning Administration Assistant to support our Validation team in delivering high-quality services that support the wider planning department by registering and assessing planning applications. This is a key administrative role that ensures the smooth running of day-to-day operations, including case management, data entry and customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing
<ul>
<li>Provide administrative support to the Validation Team.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records and databases.</li>
<li>Monitor mailboxes</li>
<li>Setting up planning applications</li>
<li>Reconciling planning payments.</li>
<li>Respond to public enquiries via, email, phone, in person, offering excellent customer service.</li>
<li>Liaise with internal departments and members of the public to support service delivery.</li>
</ul>

What You’ll Bring to the Role
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a local authority or regulatory environment.</li>
<li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>The ability to manage sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all times.</li>
<li>A calm, adaptable, and customer-focused approach to your work.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Planning services is desirable; however, full training will be given.</li>
</ul>
