We have an excellent opportunity available for a Personal Assistant to join our team here at Wokingham Borough Council on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Personal Assistant you will provide essential personal assistant support to the Council’s Leadership Team. Your role will include responding to enquiries from stakeholders and the public, organising and minuting meetings, managing actions arising from meetings, maintaining records and systems, and creating documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
You'll be a valued member of our dynamic team, receiving training and support to manage busy Service Directors’ diaries, emails, and providing project support.

Key responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>To work with some autonomy, to effectively deliver administrative support that meets the needs of the manager, service or project, seeking advice when required to effectively delegate or escalate enquiries.</li>
<li>Diary management and arranging meetings. Attend meetings as required to take and produce clear, concise minutes, ensure prompt circulation of these and manage the actions arising.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Support the operational and functional management of the service including the distribution of resources to meet customer and organisational needs, while supporting corporate initiatives.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preparation of letters, reports, spreadsheets and presentations with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Take ownership of calls/enquiries and ensure that outstanding tasks are followed up and dealt with to the satisfaction of both the customer and the Council.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

About You&nbsp;
We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, discreet, flexible, and resilient, with the ability to prioritise work effectively. Excellent IT and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines are a must. You should have an eagle eye for detail and be an excellent communicator with a ‘can do’ attitude. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams would also be an advantage.&nbsp;
