Childcare Sufficiency and Audit Officer to complete the council’s annual childcare sufficiency assessment and action plan, and to collaborate with childcare providers to ensure that the early years free entitlements are offered in accordance with the provider agreement and associated statutory guidance.

Would you like to help support the roll out of new childcare support and make a difference to families in the city with young children? We are recruiting to a new role in the early years finance team to audit early years providers in the private, voluntary and independent sectors to ensure that the new childcare support entitlements are being offered properly and are accessible to families. The postholder will also be responsible for collecting data on childcare supply and demand including conducting parental surveys and reporting on findings.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the early years and childcare sector, and of survey methods including collecting qualitative and quantitative data. They should also have
- excellent IT skills including using software such as power BI to present data in a visually immersive way.
- skills and ability in data quality management
- the ability to set up new data management tools
- the bility to communicate effectively in writing, through presentations and verbally, with a wide range of people
They will also have experience of providing challenge and promoting successful change

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
