We are looking for someone to fill an exciting role within Human Resources which is fixed term until 31/03/2019.

Principally the role will be the first point of contact for managers, schools, training providers and apprentices on any queries on the apprenticeship levy, and the training itself which will be paid from this account.

You will monitor and report on the Council’s Digital Account to committees reviewing requests to access funds from the apprenticeship levy, and work with procurement and service leads/schools to find suitable Registered Training Providers to provide apprenticeship training paid from the Digital Account. You will also work with the Head of HR in creating strategic options for the Council to consider in relation to the public sector apprenticeship target.

As well as the essential requirement of a Level 5 CIPD qualification, experience of working within local government, and a Finance qualification would be desirable.

You must have an understanding of apprenticeship frameworks, standards and apprenticeship funding rules, and be able to communicate effectively to develop and maintain relationships with the people you will be working with. You will need some knowledge of HR theory, be a competent user of Microsoft Outlook and Office, and able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
