We are looking for a new team member at the Berkshire Record Office.
The Office collects historic archives relating to the Royal County and is run as a joint service for the six Berkshire districts. It is based in a modern building a short walk from Reading town centre. Notable holdings include the archives of Broadmoor Hospital, Reading Prison and the Upper Thames Conservancy.
Our archives assistants help with visitors and enquiries, collections support and some administrative tasks. You will need to be good at listening, good at communicating complex information and have an eye for detail and discovery.
The hours will be worked over three days a week, Tuesdays to Fridays.
