About the role

In Medway Children’s Services are delivered through small teams called Social Work Pods. The Pods provide high levels of supervision; managed caseloads and a collaborative approach with families. With 4 social workers to one Practice Manager the support is real and with access to training in Systemic Practice and the Strengthening Families Approach you will be equipped to help families to stay together.
We are focused on providing evidenced based interventions to enable family life to improve for vulnerable children.
Your career in Medway provides access to a range of accredited training courses such as Systemic Practice; Video Interactive Guidance; Graded Care Profile and Solution Focused Practice. You will develop your skills in assessing parenting capacity, risk assessment and direct work with children ensuring that their experiences are the focus of our practice. This role requires you to be a qualified social worker with significant experience of working with children and families. You will hold a recognised social work qualification and completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if you qualified from 2012 onwards. In addition you will have demonstrable experience of working with children and families in the statutory, independent or third sector.

Our salary offering for an experienced Social Worker in is up to £36,750 per annum plus market premia payment of £2,000* per annum.
