Asset Appraisal Surveyor

This role would ideally be suited to any candidate with a stock condition or building surveying background, or a graduate with some relevant experience. Someone who would be keen to develop their skills set in a role that provides more scope for reviewing development ideas and refurbishment options for housing stock. As part of the newly formed housing regeneration team, there is exciting scope for development as the asset appraisal surveyor will work across both regeneration and asset management functions.

You will inform on the asset management plan for housing refurbishment programmes. Your primary responsibility will be to act as lead professional in all aspects of stock condition inspections. You will provide expert professional and technical advice relating to the housing stock in a customer focussed manner.

Your role will help deliver programmes of work in-line with the Harrow Better Homes Standard for housing refurbishment. You will also provide an efficient service, ensuring that works are specified within the constraints of time, budget, quality and performance and in compliance with statutory legislation, building regulations, Housing Standards, health and safety policies and financial regulations. You will carry out condition surveys for dwellings, communal areas, garages and other related Housing assets, internally and externally, highlighting any deficiencies. Reporting to the Programme Analyst you will lead on feasibility studies and co-ordinate the work of agency staff surveyors on a rolling programme basis, making recommendations for the Planned Investment Capital Programme.
