We are look for an enthusiastic Assistant Curator, with proven collections documentation skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to developing their professional knowledge and experience to join the Museum Service of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.

This busy service runs two heritage sites. At Mill Green Museum and Mill we operate a working watermill and social history museum. At Welwyn Roman Baths, we show the remains of a Roman bathing suite, ingeniously preserved under the A1(M) motorway.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you will have proven experience of working in a museum environment, and be able to demonstrate good organisational, communication and IT skills.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
