Our Over 11’s team provides continuity throughout the child’s journey; either through rehabilitation with the families/extended family or Long Term Fostering. We are performing at a high level; with manageable caseloads, staff who are enthusiastic and committed including a strong team of support staff. We are committed to raising standards of practice, forward-thinking and currently rolling out the innovative Family Safeguarding model of practice bringing together a co-located, multi-agency team with colleagues specialising in substance misuse, adult mental health, domestic abuse and access to clinical psychologists to address the issues that place children at risk of harm.

As Assistant Team Manager, you will share supervision of team members, (the Over 11’s team works using a POD system), deputising for the team manager in their absence and help develop existing good performance and practice. As a qualified and HCPC registered social worker with extensive experience of working with children in need and their families, your experience will include child protection case work including court and permanency work with a sound understanding of all assessment work.
