This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work within The Quinta Preschool and join our dedicated team of early years practitioners.
You will be a key person for a group of children and will need to liaise and work closely within the team. An essential part of the role is supporting our families to ensure the strongest start to their education journey.
The candidate must hold a full level 3 qualification in Childcare and have experience of working with young children. Candidates must have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and Development Matters.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., NVQ, CACHE).
- Experience:
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early years setting.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its implementation.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.
- Effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about daily progress and involving them in their child’s learning journey.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum, including areas like The Arts, STEM, and physical development.
- Strong observation and assessment skills to track and report on children’s progress.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

- A caring and patient nature, with a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to inspire a love for learning, promoting curiosity and independence.
- Commitment to ensuring the safety and emotional wellbeing of all children in your care.
- A reflective practitioner who is committed to personal and professional development.
Desirable Criteria:
- Additional Skills and Interests:
- Experience in delivering STEM or arts-based learning for early years.
- Familiarity with creating inclusive environments that respect diversity in children’s backgrounds and learning needs.
- Experience with children who have SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
- Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience with Forest School or outdoor learning initiatives.
- Recent training in safeguarding, child protection, or early childhood development.
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience at delivering Wellcomm
- Passion for Specific Areas:
- Experience of delivering literacy through stories, books, and creative writing, aligned with the school’s focus on inspiring creativity, empathy, and resilience.
- Experience in delivering creative play or physical activities to promote health and development.
- Parental Engagement:
- Proven experience in fostering strong partnerships with parents, ensuring that they feel fully involved in their child’s education every day.
