Are you ready for a new and exciting challenge? Would you like to work as an Internal Auditor in a unique and vibrant community in a stunning natural environment? If so, come and join our friendly team of experienced professionals in the beautiful Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic.
The Internal Auditor will be part of the small Government’s Internal Audit team giving an objective and evidence-based opinion on all aspects of governance, risk management and internal control. The post holder’s primary role will be to provide support to the Chief Internal Auditor and Trainee Internal Auditor to deliver the strategic audit plan and conduct reviews and investigations as required.
The Internal Auditor will report to the Financial Secretary but will have a very strong working line relationship with the Governments external support provided by the UK Government Internal Audit Agency. Whilst reporting to the Financial Secretary on an administrative basis, the Internal Auditor, in compliance with Internal Audit Standards, operates in a fully independent capacity and ensures there is no undue influence placed on the audit team or the work delivered.
