Are you passionate about promoting a safe working environment? We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our HR Operations Division at Halton Borough Council.
As a member of the Council’s Health & Safety Team you will identify and advise on best practice in Health & Safety, and the impact of changes in the Council’s delivery of services to ensure that the Council remains compliant and manages its responsibilities and obligations under Health & Safety law.
You will be joining the Principal Health & Safety Advisor, forming a small team of 2 and you will work across all Council services and schools, engaging with managers to ensure that Health & Safety responsibilities are understood and have tools in place to monitor compliance.
You will play a vital part in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and liaise with the Health & Safety Executive on behalf of the council if/when required.
