We're recruiting a Workforce Development Assistant to provide administrative and development support to the early years team's workforce development, training, recruitment and retention programmes.

The role includes ensuring the smooth running of high-quality training and recruitment programmes to early years and childcare providers (nurseries, pre-schools, childminders, and wraparound childcare) in the city.
You will need to provide advice and support to early years and childcare providers on issues relating to qualification requirements, apprenticeships, and wider workforce development in the sector.
You will also set up and monitor the workforce development and training programme and all other events (conferences, meetings, briefings) using online platforms and support training and events on the day providing a welcoming environment to delegates and trainers.
A key function is maximising the take-up of services using various forms of communication including websites and social media, including developing branding and linking with national initiatives.
You will also need to review and advise on new training and workforce development opportunities and share these with childcare providers
You will need to have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a wide range of different tasks and functions and work effectively providing information, advice and guidance both inside the team and externally.
The job is advertised full-time all year round, but a term-time only role would be considered for the right candidate

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
