As Principal Revenues &amp; Benefits Manager you will play a significant role in helping to deliver the Council’s priorities. The collection of Council Tax and Business Rates is key to supporting the Council’s financial resilience and to ensure the ongoing delivery of essential services to Knowsley’s residents.&nbsp;
To be successful, you will have a sound knowledge of revenues and benefits legislation and practice, along with experience of improving financial systems and processes.&nbsp;
You will need to be able to plan and prioritise activities across multiple functions with confidence and have the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
You will have a strong customer focus with the customer experience at the heart of the services you deliver. You will also have a demonstrable track record of leading, developing and managing highly performing teams.

We're looking to appoint 5 Collection and Recovery Processing Officers on a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the Role:
The Revenues and Benefits Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit 5 new Collection &amp; Recovery officers within the Debt and Income Maximisation Team. This is an exciting time to join us as we develop an enhance teams and endeavor to developing our colleagues and encouraging personal growth, in conjunction with a flexible working approach, so everyone can thrive in an inclusive and open environment. The successful candidates will be working within the Debt and Recovery Teams, to ensure the maximisation of revenue for the Council..
About the candidate:
You will have an understanding of income and debt processing procedures, withknowledge of relevant specialist legislative requirements eg. Council tax, business rates, accounts receivable and benefits. The successuful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
You can expect to join highly dedicated teams and work with skilled and committed managers to take forward our ambitious and exciting change programme. Focussed on continuous improvement and quality services you will work in a supportive environment, with a strong leadership team, giving stability, direction and energy to the service and making a difference.
We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working between home and office will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base, and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Our technology platform and equipment allow you to connect and collaborate remotely which requires that you have in place good connectivity. We’re looking for an Insurance Officer to join our Audit and Risk team.
About the Role:
As an Insurance Officer, you will assist the Senior Insurance Officers in handling a variety of insurance claims, the management of the Council’s insurance policies and the administration of the claims management system. You will also advise Council services on the management of risk to ensure the adherence to Council policies and the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will work closely with other service areas and with external providers, to ensure that they meet service levels for compiling information and providing good quality reporting. Therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.
You will have the ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines, when you have several competing demands on your time. The ideal candidate will also have good customer service skills and be able to manage difficult situations.
