We have an exciting opportunity within our Business Support Service for a self-motivated and organised Business Support Officer to join our No Recourse to Public Funds team (NRPF) Finance Team within the Business Support Service. The Business Support team provides essential administrative and financial support to social workers and managers within the NRPF service. Our work plays a vital role in ensuring that payments are processed accurately, efficiently and on time to support families in need, helping to maintain smooth service delivery and effective support for vulnerable children and families. This role is primarily finance focused and requires a high level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail. Business Support Officer - NRPF Finance

Are you passionate about making a real difference to children, we are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals to join our Empower U team as Missing Support Workers. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a focused engagement with children who have gone missing. As a Missing Support Worker, you’ll be offering, high-quality return home interviews with children who go missing sometimes as a one off or sometimes more regularly. You work will help in reducing future missing episodes, address contextual safeguarding risks and assess safeguarding concerns. Your reports will make recommendations to prevent further missing episodes based on your visit with the child. It is integral every contact is underpinned by strong engagement skills so children feel safe to talk to you and you are able to engage children who may not find that easy. You will need good people skills and experience of engaging young people effectively in creative and non-judgemental ways. You will have a caring nature and be professionally curious about why a young person has gone missing and the impact of missing on the child(ren). You will have awareness of why return home interviews are undertaken and the themes and trends around missing children. Also, your approach will be trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally competent, to ensure these responsive visits are impactful and supportive even when you may only engage with this child on a one-off occasion. While you will receive good support you will work independently, mostly carrying out visits on your own. You will be required to manage your own schedule and caseload, often under tight timeframes. The role requires extensive travel across the region, so flexibility and self-motivation and self-resilience are essential. Missing Support Workers 

We understand that family life is not easy and sometimes relationships break down. Our service works with families to try and understand what has led to the relationship breaking down and support them to repair and move forward.We are dedicated to safely prevent and reduce the number of children and young people entering care and provide direct and intensive support to children aged 8- 18 years old and their families in their homes over a period of 4 – 12 weeks and beyond if there is a need.As we deal with families in crisis and children on the edge of coming into care, our families require intensive support which means that we visit at least once a week and sometimes more, if families are in crisis. We often work with families experiencing domestic abuse, mental health issues, and substance misuse alongside child-to-parent violence and children with significant additional needs, including neurodiversity and trauma from abuse, loss, or bullying.We tailor our support to each family’s unique needs. Senior Social Work Assistant - Safeguarding

Healthy, Safe, Behaviours (HSB) Team – Supporting young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour £52,431.00 to £64,811.00: (with market supplement) up to £72,311.00 (depending on experience)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Principal Psychologist to join our Healthy Safe Behaviours Team (HSB). This newly configured service supports children and young people (7 to 17 years), open to Birmingham Children’s Trust, who present with harmful sexual behaviour. The team adopt a multi-agency approach, supporting Early Help, Safeguarding, Children in Care and Youth Justice Services; delivering bespoke and tailored interventions and programmes of education and support.We are looking for a Principal Psychologist, with significant experience of clinical leadership, service development, and working from a trauma informed, systemic and developmentally sensitive perspective. This new role will work alongside the operational team manager to provide clinical leadership for the ongoing development and delivery of this service in accordance with the evidence base and current best practice guidance.Previous experience working with children and young people with presentations relating to harmful sexual behaviour would be beneficial. However, we are also keen to hear from psychologists from other specialties with strong skills in complex formulation, assessing and managing risk, supporting teams (leadership, consultation, training), and the ability to look beyond behaviour. Experience working with children and young people who have histories of early adversity, social care or youth justice involvement, childhood trauma &amp;/or significant attachment disruption would also be desirable. We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment Team, as our Senior Social Worker. As our Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing our caseloads of Kinship assessments including fostering and special guardianship assessments, through both private and public law proceedings. We work closely and cooperatively with our colleagues within the Fostering Service as well as our Safeguarding and Children in Care colleagues and legal representatives. About you<ul> <li>You must be a qualified Social Worker and registered with SWE. </li> <li>Experience of working with kinship carers.</li> <li>Ability in providing an outstanding service to all of our kinship carers and children who are placed within our service.</li> <li>Experience of completing high quality, analytical court reports within strict court timescales is desirable, as the work is interesting, often complex and challenging but is crucial to achieving placement stability and permanence for our children.</li> <li>Ability to work on your own initiative and be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with colleagues.</li> <li>Solid understanding of relevant care planning and fostering legislation and be able to confidently work within fostering regulations, national minimum standards and safeguarding procedures.</li> <li>You will have assessment and report writing skills that are analytical, evidence based and demonstrate professional curiosity and respectful challenge.</li></ul>Our offer to you:<ul> <li>In addition to the salary offered, there is an incentive payment of £1,000 and a Retention payment of up to £5,000 subject to tax and NI deductions - T&amp;C's will apply.</li> <li>A generous annual leave package of 30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years of service and 35 days after 10 years of service. </li> <li>Free on-site parking. </li> <li>Full reimbursement of your annual Social Work England registration fee</li> <li>Flexible and mobile working policy - we are well adapted to a hybrid model of working which includes a combination of time spent in the office and at home.</li> <li>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer.
