Job Details 2x Full time 36 hours The brokerage officer plays an important role in securing high quality, value for money placements for people who require residential or nursing care or care at home. In order to be successful in this role you will need to have: * Experience of working in a health or social care setting with adults with different levels of need. * An ability to work with customers to ensure their needs are met * Strong negotiation skills * Ability to manage relationships with suppliers. * Ability to work on your own initiative, within a fast paced environment and as part of the team. Successful candidates will be provided with accredited broker training, funded through the Council, within the first 6 months of employment. Closing and Interview Dates Closing Date: Midnight 17th September 2017 Additional Information The standard process is for posts to be advertised on the Councils redeployment and internal site concurrently, however those members of staff that are at risk of redundancy and on the Council’s redeployment register will be considered first.
