<li>The Principal Structural Engineer is a pivotal role in the Building Control team both in terms of assessing the acceptability of submissions made under the provisions of the Building Regulations in accordance with British Standards, European Codes of practice and any other relevant Codes of Practice and providing advice on legislation &amp; technical matters and guidance &amp; instruction to professionals, technical and other staff</li>
<li>As the Principal Structural Engineer, you will work closely with the Head of Building Control to manage the service and provide policy advice to both internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>In the role of Principal Structural Engineer, you will provide consultancy services in relation to structural design checking for other Local Authority Building Control bodies and subsequent financial management of the associated charges for the consultancy service.</li>
<li>The Principal Structural Engineer will help grow the business and increase the market share working closely with the Building Control manager and Quality and Business Growth Officer and provide detailed and competitive fee quotes for Building Regulation applications&nbsp;</li>
<li>As the Principal Structural Engineer you will lead on and assess the acceptability of structural submissions made under the provisions of the Building Regulations in accordance with British Standards, European Codes Practice, and any other relevant Codes of Practice as well as participate in the out of hours emergency service</li>
