Salary: The salary quoted consists of a base salary of £48,226 - £53,460 per year, a 20% Market Premia, £729 London Weighting and £963 Essential Car User Allowance.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for newly qualified or experienced Registered Building Inspectors to join the Council’s Building Control Team.
You will join an efficient and pro-active team of professionals to ensure the continuation of a first-class Building Control Service
Surrey Heath Borough comprises of a mix of residential, high end residential and commercial developments within 36.5 sq miles.
About You
We are looking for Registered Building Inspectors to manage an area within the Borough and assist the team as a whole to maintain its current outstandingly high level of service. Duties will include ensuring decisions on applications are made within the statutory period, undertaking site inspections so that works carried out on site comply with the building regulations, inspecting Dangerous Structures, providing out of hours and office cover.
We are seeking applicants with a good level of literacy and numeracy together with excellent IT skills.&nbsp; You will also need to be committed to delivering a first-class customer focused service in a competitive environment and marketing the department and Local Authority Building Control (LABC).
The ability to make clear concise and accurate decisions on the spot and under pressure is essential. You will ideally be a member of the CABE, RICS or CIOB. A current full UK driving licence and daily access to a car for business purposes are required, for which expenses will be paid.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Fire Remediation Manager to join our Fire Remediation Team. In this role, you’ll help ensure our buildings are compliant with the Building Safety Act 2022 and that our residents feel safe and supported. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage works arising from PAS9980 assessments, supporting the delivery of fire safety remediation across our portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s largest housing associations and make a meaningful impact on building safety and customer experience.What you’ll doAs an Assistant Fire Remediation Manager, you’ll support the Programme Information Manager in coordinating and reporting on fire remediation programmes. You’ll manage communications, respond to queries, and maintain accurate data across systems and databases. You’ll liaise with contractors, residents, and internal teams to arrange access, process invoices, and ensure works are delivered efficiently and sensitively.
