Have you just left school or college and are now looking for the first step on your career path? Surrey County Council is recognised as a great first place to work, and this is your chance to receive excellent training and personal development as part of the Surrey Arts Team.
You will be fully supported and mentored as you provide administrative support to a range of daily office tasks and ongoing projects. Surrey Arts is one of Surrey County Council's cultural services. We work with young people, families, schools and organisations to create inspirational arts experiences: providing high quality music education, developing drama, dance and visual opportunities: and provide instruments and costumes to hire.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about starting a career in local government and keen to work in an office environment. Working on different projects may also give you the opportunity to work away from the office on occasion.
The successful applicant should be computer literate with a mature outlook and be confident to communicate at all levels through email, telephone and social media. Ideally you should have two GCSE's grade A to C, or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Our apprenticeship scheme provides a perfect way to earn a wage while you gain vital work experience and a qualification. The scheme is designed and funded for those over 16 years who are not in full-time education. When you've finished your qualification we'll also help you find a permanent role.
Surrey County Council is a great place to work if you're looking for a long and lasting career. We offer a wide range of opportunities at all levels, so the routes of progression are varied. On top of this we offer excellent benefits, including generous annual leave and a good pension scheme.
